The winner of the richest race in the world is now the top-ranked horse in the world.
In his first start of the year, Mishriff (122) won the $20 million Saudi Cup, and the Great Britain-based 4-year-colt leads the first edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2021. The rankings cover racing from Jan. 1 through March 7.
The rankings are compiled by the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings Committee and published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
Mishriff posted a length victory in the Saudi Cup over American raider Charlatan (120), who was also making his seasonal debut.
