Multiple graded stakes winner Oscar Nominated   has been officially retired and will stand the 2021 breeding season at BG Thoroughbred Farm in Hemet, Calif., for a fee of $2,500.

The 8-year-old son of Kitten's Joy   was bred in Kentucky by Mrs. Jerry Amerman out of the stakes-winning Theatrical  mare Devine Actress , making him a full brother to Oscar Performance  , whose four grade 1 wins include the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T).

Multiple grade 3 winner Oscar Nominated will be the only son of Kitten's Joy standing in California.

Oscar Nominated raced from ages 2-5 and was trained by Mike Maker for Ken and Sarah Ramsey for the majority of his career. The chestnut ridgling earned $1,502,639 from a 6-8-2 record in 30 starts and won or placed in 13 black-type events. At 3 he took the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes (G3) at Turfway Park, added the Calumet Farm Kentucky Turf Cup (G3T) at Kentucky Downs to his win column at 4, and at 5 captured the W. L. McKnight Handicap (G3T) at Gulfstream Park. During his 4-year-old campaign he also placed in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (G1T) at Churchill Downs and Pattison Canadian International Stakes (G1T) at Woodbine.

Oscar Nominated is also a half brother to graded stakes-placed Award Winner  (by Ghostzapper  ) and is from the same female family as multi-millionaire and grade 1 winner Dramatic Gold.
