M G Warrior , a five-time winner and earner of nearly $300,000, has been retired from racing to stand his first season at stud at Charter Oak Farm near Hot Springs, Ark. He will stand as property of Chrysalis Stables for an introductory fee of $750 for the 2021 breeding season.

Trained by Eclipse Award winner Brad Cox, M G Warrior compiled a 5-5-0 record from 17 starts with earnings of $298,226. The son of grade 1 winner Majestic Warrior  broke his maiden going 1 1/16 miles at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots and then recorded four wins against allowance and allowance optional claiming company at Churchill Downs and Oaklawn Park at distances from 6 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles.

"M G Warrior was a very nice horse to train and be around. He was a solid runner and would be a nice fit in the Arkansas breeding program," Cox said.

Bred by Stephanie Clark in Kentucky, M G Warrior is out of the Bowman's Band winner Marvel Gaye, who won at 2 and 3 earned more than $107,000. Marvel Gaye is out of Marvel (by Williamstown), who is a half sister to graded-placed winner Smokeyjonessutton, who was third in the Indiana Derby (G2) and New Orleans Handicap (G2). The family has also produced multiple graded stakes winner Silverfoot.
