Alessandro and Giuseppe Botti's Shalaa colt Miami Voice went the way of Meridian International and Mandore International Agency when selling for €250,000 at Arqana's Horses in Training Online Sale March 26.
The 3-year-old son of the Darley Prix Morny (G1) and Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (G1)-winning sprinter and promising second-season sire had struck on his debut at Fontainebleau this month and is out of a Kendargent half sister to top-class miler Charm Spirit.
Also among the promising colt's family is last season's Emirates Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (G1) winner Dream And Do, who is out of Venetias Dream, a daughter of Miami Voice's third dam, Machaera.
Mandore International Agency's Nicolas de Watrigant said: "We bought him for a syndicate of four owners and the plan is to keep him with his trainer.
"We've been following him and liked what he did on his debut—he beat some nice horses from good yards. He's a son of Shalaa, who is doing very well with his first 3-year-olds, and he's a very good-looking horse."
Sotoro, a winning and listed-placed son of Haras de Bouquetot's in-form sire Toronado , also went the way of Mandore International Agency when selling for €150,000.
Out of Sotunza—an Astronomer Royal half sister to Prix de Guiche (G3) winner Absolutly Yes and stakes scorer Aornos—the Edouard Monfort-trained and consigned runner picked up black type when third in the Prix Montenica on the all-weather at Chantilly March 18.
Bred by Ecurie de Castillon & S.C.E.A. des Prairies, the 3-year-old was bought back at €40,000 (US$43,884) by consignor Fairway Consignment at the Osarus September Yearling Sale in 2019.
