The April 13 second session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale's under tack show played a little bit faster than the April 12 opener with six horses working an eighth-mile in :9 4/5 and one horse working a quarter-mile in :20 2/5.

Four more days of breezes remain ahead of four-day auction which runs April 20-23 in Ocala, Fla. As of 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, 166 horses had been withdrawn from the sale bringing the total number cataloged to 1,051.

The fastest quarter-mile work on Tuesday went to Hip 317, a filly by Ashford Stud stallion Classic Empire   out of the Tale of the Cat   mare Tigress Tale. The filly, consigned by Golden Rock Thoroughbreds, was bred in Kentucky by Springhouse Farm. She was offered to the Keeneland September Yearling Sale by Paramount Sales, but failed to attain her reserve on a final bid of $37,000.

Hip 317 hails from a family of strong female performers. The filly's second dam, Double Jackpot, produced grade 3 winner Stays in Vegas  who also finished second in the Starlet Stakes (G1) and third in the Del Mar Oaks Presented by The Jockey Club (G1T) and Matriarch Stakes (G1T). Her third dam is Just Reward, the dam of Personal Ensign Stakes (G1) winner Persistently, and her fourth dam is champion Heavenly Prize, who also produced Hollywood Derby (G1T) winner Good Reward and graded stakes winner Pure Prize, who has twice been named leading sire in Argentina.
