Even-money favorite Perfect Set, with jockey Santiago Gonzalez aboard, recorded the milestone victory for with a commanding gate-to-wire win in the 1 1/16-mile $16,000 claiming race.
Training since 1986, Carava's runners have earned more than $28 million in purses and more than $1 million in 16 straight years from 1996 to 2011.
The 48-year-old Arcadia, Calif.-born trainer has a 6-9-4 record from 39 starts thus far this year.
