Lothenbach Stables' Ry's the Guy , a front-running 4 3/4-length winner of last year's Champions Day feature, heads a field eight for the $130,000 Isaac Murphy Marathon Overnight Stakes Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance at Churchill Downs April 27.

The 1 1/2-mile main track test—now named to honor the legendary African-American and native Kentuckian rider—is the centerpiece of a day of racing that Churchill Downs is calling "Champions for Change." The day's program is meant to celebrate Black Horsemen in Thoroughbred racing and buoy industry-wide commitment to increasing diversity and inclusivity in the sport.

Trained by Ian Wilkes, Ry's the Guy will be making his 2021 debut in Tuesday's race. He last competed in the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Stakes (G2) Nov. 6 at Keeneland, finishing last of 14. The 5-year-old son of Distorted Humor   has a record of two wins and one second from three starts on the Churchill Downs main track.

Regular rider Chris Landeros will be aboard the 4-1 morning-line shot.  

Favored at 8-5 is Flying P Stable's Lone Rock , a 6 3/4-length winner of a 1 1/2-mile dirt race for allowance optional claimers at Oaklawn Park April 11. That race followed a near-miss second in stakes company, also over a marathon distance. 

Dack Janiel's , Portos , and You're to Blame  are other leading contenders.
