Arena Racing Company has announced Cazoo as the new sponsor of the St. Leger (G1), the world's oldest classic.

The deal, which sees the online car retailer take over from previous Leger sponsors Pertemps, bolsters Cazoo's investment in the sport after they were also named as the new sponsors of the Epsom Derby (G1) and Oaks (G1) this month.

The new partnership gives Cazoo exclusive naming rights for Doncaster's four-day festival along with multiple races which will be broadcast live on ITV Racing and Sky Sports Racing.

The Cazoo St. Leger festival takes place from Sept. 8-11, with the final day headlined by the last classic of the season in Britain. The deal also includes year-round prominent branding for Cazoo across the full portfolio of 16 Arc racecourses.

Established in 1776, the St. Leger is the final leg of the English Triple Crown—along with the QIPCO Two Thousand Guineas (G1) and the Derby— which was last completed by the legendary Nijinsky in 1970.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained Galileo Chrome  triumphed in last year's Leger to give jockey Tom Marquand a first classic victory.

Martin Cruddace, Arc chief executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome Cazoo as our new partner for the Cazoo St Leger festival and, of course, the feature race itself. As an innovative and growing brand, they are a fantastic fit for what is an incredibly popular and important meeting in the race calendar.

"In addition, this partnership represents a comprehensive blend of our feature meeting, the Cazoo St. Leger festival, with further activation across our estate of racecourses over the summer, including over 350 races."
