

Donald Ray Richardson of Louisville, Ky., died April 27 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was 75.
A native of Louisville, Richardson was born Jan. 27, 1946, to the late Elmer and Gertrude Richardson. He married the love of his life, the late Theresa Longazel Richardson.
Richardson loved horse racing and worked for Churchill Downs for 22 years. He served as Churchill Downs' senior vice president of racing until his retirement in 2012, according to the track's media.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Richardson (Scott Rech) and Shelley Dunn (Jason), and two grandsons, Jonathan and Jack Dunn.
Funeral services for Richardson will be held at 10 a.m. ET, April 30 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road, Louisville, Ky., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. A walk-thru visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. April 29 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville. Masks and social distancing are required.
