The 2013 Breeders' Cup World Championships featured unforgettable moments by many of racings biggest stars. Hall of Fame jockeys Gary Stevens and Mike Smith shined on the grand stage, Wise Dan, Beholder, Mizdirection, Groupie Doll and Secret Circle scored their second Breeders' Cup victories, and the passion from the fans at the racetrack matched the racing energy.
The 2013 event closed with a magical victory by Mucho Macho Man. Ridden by Stevens, Mucho Macho Man needed every ouce of determination to hold off Will Take Charge and win the $5 million race for trainer Kathy Ritvo, whose own fighting spirit was never more evident than when she returned to training six months after having a heart transplant in 2008.
