Wesellbloodstock.com is a new sales platform for high end horses in training and broodmares that will go live & launch on Thursday 13th May. Wesellbloodstock.com was founded and is run by Agent and Racing Manager, Richard Knight who has been responsible for sourcing Group 1 winners Waikuku, The Wow Signal and Garswood as well as the high-class performers Safe Voyage, El Astronaute, Night Colours and Pablo Escobarr.
Wesellbloodstock.com is proudly not an auction site with Knight preferring to create 1-2-1 relationships with both vendors and purchasers. All horses in training must undergo a preliminary vet report (x-rays and scope) meaning that vendors and trainers do not waste time with horses failing vets. All broodmares are listed having undergone a mare vet report to include pregnancy diagnosis for in-foal mares and a scope report for fillies off the track. For both horses in training and broodmares, professional photos, video and a pedigree page download will assist the sale. High quality, transparency and service are words that Knight hopes will be associated with his new venture.
From the purchasers perspective the platform ticks many boxes with potential purchasers knowing which horses are for sale, what price they are and whether they will likely pass their own vetting. Added to this is the fact that there is no commission charged to purchasers.
Wesellbloodstock.com has the great advantage of allowing vendors to sell their horses when they are hot and not having to wait for the next auction. Knight endeavours to get a horse in training or broodmare listed within 5 working days of engagement which could be a game changer in bloodstock sales.
Wesellboodstock.com charges vendors a 5% commission of sale price and within that fee is donating 10% to the Retraining Of Racehorses Charity (ROR).
The platform goes live with the sale of Doonside Cup L.R. winner Encapsulation who is herself by Zoffany, sire of recent Classic winning filly Mother Earth. The 5-year-old mare is offered in-foal to the top stallion Camelot, himself responsible for recent Derby Trial winner Youth Spirit as well as Classic winners Latrobe and Even So. Knight comments 'I am delighted to launch Wesellbloodstock.com with the high-class mare Encapsulation who is in-foal to one of my favourite stallions, Camelot. Encapsulation is a good looking, Listed winning mare who got in-foal on the first cover to Camelot and will make a great addition to anyone's broodmare band.' Encapsulation is listed at £250,000 plus VAT.
