Fourteen of 18 entries remain cataloged for Keeneland's May Digital Sale to be held May 25 as part of Keeneland's Digital Sales Ring platform. Online bidding opens at 10 a.m. ET Tuesday and begins to close that day at 2 p.m.
The sales catalog, available at Keenelanddigital.com, includes American Power , a sprinter consigned by Sean S. Perl Bloodstock who is pointed to the True North Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park June 4, according to Keeneland. Winner of last fall's Toboggan Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack, he ran second in an allowance optional claimer April 24 at Belmont for owners Sanford Goldfarb, Irwin Goldfarb, and the Estate of Ira Davis. Rob Atras currently trains the 6-year-old Power Broker horse.
Claimed last summer for $40,000, he raced and was not claimed for a $100,000 tag April 24.
Another of the sale's headliners is Kavod , a second-out maiden winner at Belmont April 23. The Lea 2-year-old colt previously ran fourth at Keeneland for owner Tritain Biddinger and trainer James Chapman. Taylor Made Sales Agency consigns Kavod, who raced five furlongs in :59.55 on a fast track in his maiden score.
Keeneland encourages buyers to register for an account in the Keeneland Digital Sales Ring before the sale begins Tuesday. Buyers can bid manually during the sale or establish the top prices they are willing to spend for a hip.
