Jockey Jose Riquelme was one winning ride away from notching his 1,000th career victory, but the milestone came early as Saint Goar , his mount from March 21 at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, was elevated to first due to the recent disqualification of the first-place finisher, Flat Out American .

A May 21 ruling from the Louisiana State Racing Commission disqualified Flat Out American due to a positive post-race drug test.

Saint Goar was beaten a head in the March 21 race, a maiden claiming event for 3-year-olds sprinting six furlongs. He was claimed from that race for $15,000 by Ten Strike Racing and Raquel Ritchie.

With the disqualification, Magnificentrevenge  became Riquelme's latest winner. Riquelme guided the 4-year-old I Want Revenge  filly to a 2 3/4-length victory May 13 in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden claiming event for registered Indiana-bred fillies and mares age 3 and up at Indiana Grand. Magnificentrevenge is trained by Tim Glyshaw for Gina and Jerry Anderson.

Since 1999 Riquelme, a multiple stakes-winning jockey, has collected career earnings of $19,722,437 from 10,938 starts, according to Equibase statistics.

In January 2015 Riquelme rode Hard Aces  to win the Louisiana Handicap at Fair Grounds for trainer Larry Jones and owner Dreamchaser Thorobreds. Hard Aces went on to win the Gold Cup at Santa Anita (G1) later that year under Victor Espinoza after moving to California for Hronis Racing and trainer John Sadler.
