Owen Burrows will saddle Zaammit, a half brother to Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) winner Belvoir Bay , May 29 at Salisbury Racecourse where the son of Muhaarar is due to face 13 rivals.
Zaammit was bred by the late Lenore 'Lennie' Peacock, long-standing custodian of Manor House Stud in Middleham and breeder of the likes of dual Guineas winner Tirol and smart Australian sprinter Redkirk Warrior.
Zaammit was a 100,000 guineas (US$134,238) purchase from Tattersalls Book 2 by Shadwell in 2019. Sporting the colors of Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, the 3-year-old is the sixth foal out of Path of Peace, a winning daughter of Rock of Gibraltar and a half sister to Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes (G2) scorer Please Sing .
The 14-year-old has produced two winners to date, including the prolific Belvoir Bay. The Peacock-bred daughter of Equiano was a dual winner for Richard Hannon before moving to Bill Mott and then Peter Miller in America.
A seven-time stakes winner, Belvoir Bay was also second to Blue Point in the Al Quoz Sprint Sponsored By Azizi Developments (G1) before landing a deserved first top-level success at Santa Anita on her final career start. She sold for $1,500,000 to Mike Shannon at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November Sale following her Breeders' Cup win.
Earlier on the card, in the five-furlong juvenile novice contest, Saeed bin Suroor will debut Home City, a son of exciting first season sire Profitable and a half brother to this season's Weatherbys Epassport Robert Sangster Memorial Cup Cheshire Oaks winner and Cazoo Oaks (G1) hope Dubai Fountain .

Nafura is herself out of Mysterial, an Alleged half sister to the top-class sprinter Agnes World.
Dubai Fountain was second in the Bet365 May Hill Stakes and fourth in the Bet365 Fillies' Mile (G1) last term before stamping her Classic credentials this season, while her Dark Angel half brother, Real World, was listed-placed in Meydan earlier this year.
