The Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds is coming up on March 28, and the New Orleans racetrack will be a mecca of racing excitement, bayou charm and Southern style. If you’re planning on attending the biggest day of racing in the Big Easy, here are three looks that are guaranteed winners no matter what your budget is! To keep with our horse racing theme, the ensembles will be divided into three categories: Win (most expensive), Place (middle of the road) and Show (thrifty).

The wedges are $62 from Seychelles, and I can testify to their comfort since I have a similar pair from the same brand that I’ve worn for hours without pain. All in all, this look is all yours for $373.

Our show look is both comfortable for a warm Louisiana afternoon and stylish enough for a trip to the track. The dress, through some sort of sorcery, is just $19 from Next She. I added a pair of $25 Charlotte Russe flat sandals, a cute straw tote for $45 from Dana Buchman, $18 Fragments earrings and a stack of bangles for $15 by Jennifer Lopez. Top off your look with a cool pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses for $22 from ASOS, and you’re off to the races for just $144.
