The Queen's homebred and Montfort et Preaux's promising first-season sire Recorder was supplied with his first winner when Hot Queen struck at Lyon-Parilly June 28.
The son of Galileo and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes (G2) winner Memory raced three times in the royal silks two before being retired due to injury ahead of a tilt at the Phoenix Stakes (G1).
He was third on his debut at Newbury before shedding his maiden tag over seven furlongs at Newmarket—defeating subsequent group 1 winner Ventura Storm in the process—and then landing group 3 honors in the Tattersalls Acomb Stakes (G3) at York in 2015.
A first foal out of the Danehill Dancer mare Memory, Recorder is a full brother to the Queen's Belmont Gold Cup Invitational (G2) winner Call To Mind and a three-parts sibling to Learn By Heart, a son of Frankel who struck in the Stockholms Stora Pris (G3) at Bro Park in Sweden.
Hot Queen had been placed on her last two starts and is out of the stakes-placed Lomitas mare Hot Fudge, the dam of four previous winners.
Trained by Pia Brandt, the filly came home three lengths ahead of the Al Wukair filly Alromy, with a further two and a half lengths back to Perle Rouge, a daughter of fellow first-season sire Zelzal .
Haras de Montfort et Preaux manager Mathieu Alex said at the time: "This son of the champion Galileo has everything needed to succeed at stud.
"Very precocious, he was one of the best English 2-year-olds, notably finishing in front of Cymric by four and a quarter lengths in the Acomb Stakes. His trainer, William Haggas, was convinced that he had potential and looked to the Phoenix Stakes.
"Very well bred, Recorder boasts two of the bloodlines that have been instrumental in Coolmore's success: Galileo and Danehill Dancer. As soon as we saw Recorder at the Royal Studs, we were convinced by his physique.
"He is a magnificent horse, powerful, very elegant and a wonderful mover. We are truly delighted to be standing Recorder and we would like to invite all breeders to come and visit us at the stud to see him."
Recorder stood the 2021 breeding season for a fee of €4,000 (US$4,771).
