St. George Stable's 5-year-old mare Letruska retained her No. 1 position in the latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association Top Thoroughbred Poll, while Jim Dandy Stakes (G2) winner Essential Quality rose to third place.
Letruska has been atop the NTRA poll for the five consecutive weeks. Winner of the Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) and Ogden Phipps Stakes (G1), she has 15 first-place votes and 292 points.
Godolphin's 4-year-old Maxfield remains in second place with five first-place votes and 257 points, while Godolphin's 3-year-old Essential Quality improved from fifth to third place in the poll. Essential Quality, who won the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1), has four first-place votes and 236 points.
