Shared Sense wins the Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park

Godolphin's Shared Sense, last year's Indiana Derby (G3) and Oklahoma Derby (G3) winner, is the morning-line favorite for the $60,000 Tri-State Overnight Stakes at Ellis Park Aug. 7 over a mile on dirt, one of four stakes there Saturday.

The Brad Cox trainee will look to rebound from a fifth-place finish in Indiana Grand's Michael G. Schaefer Memorial Stakes. He is matched against a short field that includes Exulting , Beau Luminarie , and Beaver Hat , who won a mile allowance prep in fast time. 

In other Saturday stakes action:

Cox runs Steve Landers Racing's Royal Prince  in the $100,000 Kentucky Downs TVG Preview Dueling Grounds Derby, where the 3-year-old is matched against males and a 3-year-old filly in Core Values . She captured the Hatoof Stakes at Arlington International Racecourse in her stakes debut last time out.

Other leading contenders include Gershwin , Accredit , and Red Hornet .

Another Godolphin-owned and Cox-trained runner, Adventuring , goes in the $100,000 Kentucky Downs TVG Preview Dueling Grounds Oaks, one of the better races on the card. Other high-class 3-year-old fillies entered include Caldee , Takntothecleaners ,  Stillchargingmaria , and Oliviaofthedesert .

In the final stakes race on the card, 11 short-distance specialists vie in the $100,000 Kentucky Downs TVG Preview Turf Sprint Stakes over 5 1/2 furlongs. Archidust , Born Great , and Gray Attempt  are quality turf sprinters pitted against a New Mexico-bred, Texas-based runner in My Boanerges .
