Omaha Beach, a multiple grade 1-winning millionaire, will stand for AU$22,000, while Vino Rosso, also a multiple grade 1 winner who captured the 2019 Longines Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), will stand for AU$13,500.
Omaha Beach is a son of War Front , whose influence has been strong at Melbourne recently through the progeny of his son Declaration of War . Vow And Declare won the 2019 Lexus Melbourne Cup (G1) and Warning won the 2019 AAMI Victoria Derby (G1). Winning Ways captured the 2019 Treasury Brisbane Queensland Oaks (G1) at Doomben as well.
Warning and Winning Ways are both out of mares by Galileo , while Vow And Declare is a son of a Testa Rossa mare, which Spendthrift sees as promising crosses for Omaha Beach, who is out of the Seeking the Gold winner Charming.
Vino Rosso is a son of Curlin out of the winning Street Cry daughter Mythical Bride. He is the only son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin standing in Australia. Curlin is currently the leading North American sire by number of 2021 graded stakes winners with 11 and tied with leading sire by progeny earnings, Spendthrift's Into Mischief , by number of year to date grade 1 winners with three.
