Pin Oak Stud Dispersal Catalog Now Available

The catalog for The Pin Oak Stud Sale set for Sept. 12 at Fasig-Tipton's Newtown Paddocks facility is available online, the auction house announced Aug. 9. The sale begins at 6 p.m. ET.
Josephine Abercrombie's Pin Oak Stud announced Aug. 5 it will be offering its remaining broodmares, weanlings, and some racing fillies at auction.
Denali Stud will handle the sale as agent for Pin Oak. Separate from this main group are 14 yearlings that will be offered in the upcoming Keeneland September Yearling Sale and one yearling is entered to sell at Fasig-Tipton's The Saratoga Sale. Some 14 retired mares and horses will remain on the farm.
"This has been part of Ms. Abercrombie's plan all along, as we have been selling mares and downsizing the past few years," said farm manager Clifford Barry.
The catalog consists of 24 horses, including graded stakes winners Overheard (by Macho Uno ), in foal to McKinzie ; Gold Medal Dancer (Medaglia d'Oro ), in foal to Munnings ; and Don't Leave Me (Lemon Drop Kid ), in foal to Authentic . Weanlings being offered are by Justify , Candy Ride , Ghostzapper , Flatter , Medaglia d'Oro, Union Rags , and Street Sense .
The catalog will also be available via the Equineline sales catalog app. Print catalogs will be available beginning the week of Aug. 16. Online bidding and phone bidding will be available.
