The Quality Road filly consigned as Hip 160 in the ring at The Saratoga Sale

Classic connections continue to pay handsomely on Day 2 of Fasig-Tipton's The Saratoga Sale with a Quality Road   filly (Hip 160) that is a half sister to 2017 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Always Dreaming   (Bodemeister  ) selling for $1 million to Kindred Stables.

Bred by Santa Rosa Partners out of the In Excess mare Above Perfection , the filly was sold by Indian Creek. She is a half sister to three graded stakes winners that include grade 1 winner Hot Dixie Chick  (Dixie Union) and grade 2 winner Positive Spirit  (Pioneerof the Nile).

Earlier in the evening a Bolt d'Oro   colt (Hip 132) that is a half brother to Horse of the Year and 2009 BlackBerry Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Rachel Alexandra  sold for $1.4 million to Larry Best's OXO Equine.
