The catalogs for Books 2, 3, and 4 of the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale are online now and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. Book 2 features 808 yearlings and will take place Monday, October 11—Wednesday, October 13, Book 3 has 612 lots cataloged and will take place Thursday, October 14 and Friday, October 15, while Book 4 has a further 98 yearlings selling on the morning of Saturday, October 16.

This year's October Book 2 stars Addeybb , Ebro River , Lady Bowthorpe , State of Rest , Subjectivist , and Zaaki  have claimed group/grade 1 triumphs around the globe in Australia, Ireland, the UK, and the USA to provide the best possible advertisement for Europe's largest yearling sale.

75,000 guineas Book 2 purchase Ebro River is the highest-rated 2-year-old in Europe

The 2021 catalog features own or half brothers and sisters to an impressive 167 group and listed winners including the Cracksman  half brother to European Champion older horse Al Kazeem  and the Gleneagles  half brother to classic winner Precieuse . Further siblings to group/grade 1 winners cataloged include the Kingman  half brother to Middle Park winner Charming Thought , the Showcasing  half brother to Queen Anne Stakes winner Accidental Agent, and full brothers to Margot Did  and River Boyne , alongside half sisters to Librisa Breeze  and La Pelosa  by Frankel  and Muhaarar  respectively.

Group 2 winners Sandrine  and Asymmetric  are amongst the leading 2-year-olds in Britain this season and both have half brothers cataloged by Roaring Lion  and Gleneagles respectively, as does this year's dual group 1 runner-up Dragon Symbol  whose half brother is by Adaay .

In addition, there are 113 sons and daughters of group and listed winning mares cataloged, including the Churchill  colt out of the champion racemare Islington , the Pivotal  colt of group 1 winner Allegretto, and daughters of group/grade 1 winners Dynaforce  and Voleuse de Coeurs  by Cracksman and National Defense  respectively.

The sires index makes equally impressive reading with 22 of the current top 25 sires in Britain and Ireland represented including Australia , Camelot , Dandy Man , Dark Angel , Footstepsinthesand , Frankel, Galileo , Gleneagles, Invincible Spirit , Kingman, Kodiac , Le Havre , Lope de Vega , Mehmas , Night of Thunder , No Nay Never , Sea The Stars , Showcasing , Siyouni , Wootton Bassett , and Zoffany .

Tally Ho Stud's proven group 1 sire Kodiac leads the way numerically with 42 yearlings cataloged and Whitsbury Manor Stud's Showcasing follows closely on his heels with 38. Australia, Dark Angel, Lope de Vega, and Zoffany feature amongst the 10 leading sires in Europe and have an impressive 20, 27, 24, and 25 yearlings cataloged respectively.

There are 16 first-crop sires represented including classic and group 1 winners Cracksman, Expert Eye , Harry Angel Havana Grey , Justify  , Lightning Spear , Roaring Lion, Saxon Warrior , Sioux Nation , U S Navy Flag  and Unfortunately  in addition to 25 yearlings from the first Northern Hemisphere bred crop of Champion Australian sire Zoustar.

Overseas based sires have always added an extra dimension to Book 2 of the October Yearling Sale and top French-based sires Le Havre and Siyouni have 19 yearlings cataloged between them, with USA-based sires Kitten's Joy  , More Than Ready  , and Uncle Mo   also represented.

Book 3 of the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, which follows immediately after Book 2, takes place Thursday, October 14 and Friday, October 15 and numbers 612 lots. Book 4 comprises an additional 98 lots and will take place on the morning of Saturday, October 16. All of the yearlings in Books 3 and 4 of the October Yearling Sale are eligible for the ever-popular £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes and the catalogs include yearlings by current top 30 sires Australia, Dark Angel, Iffraaj , Kodiac, Mastercraftsman , Mayson , Mehmas, Nathaniel , Night of Thunder, Oasis Dream , Showcasing, and Zoffany.
