A deluge of rain from Tropical Storm Henri has forced Parx Racing to take its Aug. 24 races off the turf and move the $200,000 Parx Dash Stakes (G3T) to next week.

According to a tweet by Parx track announcer Chris Griffin, the Parx Dash will now be contested Aug. 31 at the Pennsylvania racetrack.

He said more information will be announced Tuesday morning regarding how the elimination of the 10th race on a 12-race card will impact multi-leg wagers.

The fourth and sixth races on Tuesday's card were also scheduled for the turf course.

Tuesday's card will feature the $300,000 Smarty Jones Stakes (G3) for 3-year-olds and the $150,000 Cathryn Sophia Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, preps for the Sept. 25 Pennsylvania Derby (G1) and Cotillion Stakes (G1) at Parx.
