The remnants of Hurricane Ida, expected to bring heavy rain and the potential for flash floods to the Mid-Atlantic Sept. 1, have resulted in the cancellation of racing Wednesday at Delaware Park and Penn National Race Course.

Delaware Park's entire card was transferred to Sept. 2, an available date after the track initially failed to acquire sufficient entries for racing that day. Post time for the first race is 1:15 p.m.

Penn National's Wednesday program will be moved in its entirety to Sept. 8. The track also announced that entries for the races slotted in the condition book for Sept. 8 will be taken Wednesday and run Sept. 9.
