One Lucky Dane, an impressive allowance/optional claiming winner in his last start at Santa Anita Park March 19, will likely join unbeaten stablemate Dortmund in the $1 million Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) April 4.
"He likes this track and he runs well here," trainer Bob Baffert said of the bay colt by Lookin At Lucky , who won a mile event March 19 by 9 3/4 lengths in his first start since a sixth-place finish in the Nov. 1 Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I).

Baffert previously mentioned the $250,000 Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland April 11 as a possibility for the colt owned by Michael Lund Peterson, but said Friday, "It would be too soon to ship out, and if he runs well here, it gives us time to recuperate."
