Hip 286, a Quality Road colt, brought $1.15 million during the Sept. 14 second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale
A Quality Road colt from the family of grade 1 winner Charlatan was the second seven-figure horse during the Sept. 14 second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The colt was a $1.15 million purchase by Mayberry Farm, with agent David Ingordo signing the ticket.
Consigned as Hip 286 by Dixiana Farms, the colt is out of the graded stakes-placed English Channel mare Brielle's Appeal . The mare is a half sister to multiple graded stakes winner Authenticity , who produced Arkansas Derby (G1) and Runhappy Malibu Stakes (G1) winner Charlatan and stakes winner Hanalei Moon .
