Top 3-year-old St Mark's Basilica, who beat Arc (G1) favorite Tarnawa in the Irish Champion Stakes (G1) this month, has been retired to stud with trainer Aidan O'Brien describing him as possibly the best horse he's ever had at Ballydoyle.
