Last year's Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (G1) winner Supremacy is to join the stallion roster at Yeomanstown Stud for the 2022 season.
Owned by Jason Goddard, the son of high-flying Mehmas was bought by trainer Clive Cox for £65,000 (US$79,424) from Owenstown Stud at the 2019 Goffs UK Premier & Silver Yearling Sale.
Bred by Kangyu International Racing and from the family of other Cox stars Xtension and Harry Angel, Supremacy also won the Qatar Richmond Stakes (G2) before his career-high defeat of Lucky Vega on the Rowley Mile almost exactly a year ago.
Yeomanstown's Gay O'Callaghan said: "We're delighted to have Supremacy join our stallion roster. He was an exceptional 2-year-old and is by a high-class stallion, from a very good female line.
"Furthermore, like our flagship stallion Dark Angel , he was an impressive winner of the group 1 Middle Park."
The dam of Supremacy, Trigger's Broom (Arcano) is a half sister to Hong Kong group 1 victor Xtension .
Summing up the horse, Cox said: "Supremacy is just pure class. His talent was clear to see early on; with a blistering turn of foot and coupled with his wonderful laid-back attitude, he was an absolute pleasure to train.
"I really look forward to having a few of his progeny at Beechdown Stables in the years to come."
A stud fee is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
