Juju's Map and Special Reserve , the two stakes winners on Keeneland's opening day Oct. 8, both spent the night at the Lexington oval following their triumphs before returning to their Louisville, Ky., bases to prepare for the Breeders' Cup Nov. 5-6 at Del Mar.
Albaugh Family Stables' Juju's Map, a 4 1/4-length winner of the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1), earned a berth in the Nov. 5 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1).
"She's good and happy this morning," Tessa Bisha, assistant to trainer Brad Cox, reported Saturday. "She is leaving this morning to go back to Churchill Downs."
Paradise Farm and David Staudacher's Special Reserve, winner of the Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix (G2), earned a berth in the Nov. 6 Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1). He was scheduled to return to trainer Mike Maker's main base at Churchill Downs Trackside. Maker indicated that Special Reserve would ship to Del Mar Oct. 31.
Meanwhile, three fillies who were extended invitations to the Oct. 16 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Presented by Dixiana (G1T) tested the Keeneland turf Saturday morning.
Trainer Chad Brown's graded stakes-winning duo of Shantisara and Technical Analysis worked five furlongs together in 1:03 2/5 and 1:03 3/5, respectively. Trainer Donnacha O'Brien's Nicest worked five furlongs in 1:06 with jockey Julien Leparoux aboard.
The QEII is one of the most prestigious North American turf stakes for 3-year-old fillies.
