Grand Glory enters the Deauville winner's enclosure after taking the Prix Jean Romanet

Grand Glory , winner of this season's Darley Prix Jean Romanet (G1) and a narrow second in the Prix de l'Opera Longines (G1) at ParisLongchamp, will be offered for sale at Arqana's Breeding Stock Sale in early December.

Bred by Haras de Bourgeauville, the daughter of Olympic Glory  won on her sole start at 2 before placing in listed company on her first start at 3 and then notching a win before her gallant third behind Channel  in the 2019 Prix de Diane Longines (G1).

A stakes winner on her first run at 4 and then second to Ambition  in the Prix Corrida (G2), the 5-year-old won a deserved first group race in the Prix de Flore (G3) that October, having also placed third in the Darley Prix de Pomone (G2) in August.

Officially the highest rated mare in training, Grand Glory was second to Skalleti  on her reappearance this term before another group 3 strike in the Grand Prix de Vichy (G3).

She sprung a surprise when outbattling previous winner and 2020 Maker's Mark Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T) heroine Audarya  in the Prix Jean Romanet in August but backed up that career-best effort when going down on her sword to Rougir  on Arc day this month.

Grand Glory, an €18,000 (US$21,179) private sale at the 2017 Arqana October Yearling Sale by Marco Bozzi Bloodstock, is the fifth foal out of the Daylami  mare Madonna Lily , a half sister to Canadian Stakes (G2T) scorer Minakshi . Grand Glory is in turn a half sister to two minor winners.

She is one of six individual group winners for Haras de Bouquetot resident sire Olympic Glory and one of two top-flight scorers alongside 2019 Coronation Stakes (G1) and 2020 Prix Rothschild (G1) heroine Watch Me

Olympic Glory, a son of Choisir  who stood the 2021 breeding season for a fee of €5,000, is also responsible for 2020 Betway Solario Stakes (G3) winner Etonian , Grosser Preis der Mehl-Mulhens-Stiftung (G3) scorer Lucky Lycra , plus American graded winners Mintd  and Quick , respective winners of this year's Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes (G3T) and Astra Stakes (G3T).

Grand Glory will be offered for sale on Dec. 4—the opening day of the sale. The catalog will be available to view online from Nov. 2.
