Horses head out for morning training at Woodbine
Woodbine Entertainment is pleased to welcome and recognize Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society as part of the first Aftercare Alliance Day this Sunday at Woodbine Racetrack.
Woodbine has long supported aftercare programs for the equine athletes and special cheque presentations will be made to Aftercare Alliance and LongRun as part of the day's festivities.
Catherine Martin Vella's Exclusively Equine, which sells high-end gifts and décor, will be setup inside the Woodbine Club on the fourth floor. A portion of sales on Sunday will be donated to both aftercare groups.
Josham Farms will present a Best Turned Out Award to a groom in both the E.P. Taylor Stakes and Nearctic Stakes.
Several jockeys competing on Sunday's card will also be making donations to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
