This season's Chester Vase (G3) scorer Youth Spirit and high-class stayer Master of Reality head 11 wildcard entries for the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale on Oct. 25-28.
Youth Spirit, who is cataloged as Lot 1186A, was a winner in his second start at 2 before finishing third in the Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes (G2) at Goodwood.
The son of Camelot went on to run in this year's Cazoo Derby (G1) behind Adayar after his score in the Chester Vase. Third in the Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (G2) and fourth to Ottoman Emperor in the John Pearce Racing Gordon Stakes (G3) at Goodwood, the 3-year-old was last seen finishing fifth in the Cazoo St. Leger Stakes (G1) to Hurricane Lane .
The Ringfort Stud and Paul Hancock-bred colt, a graduate of the Goffs November Foal Sale and Arqana's August Sale, will be offered on the Wednesday of the Tattersalls sale.
Joseph O'Brien will offer another high-profile lot in Master of Reality (Lot 1186C), a group 3-winning son of Frankel who was also third in the Gold Cup (G1) at Ascot in 2019 behind Stradivarius .
Out of the champion 3-year-old filly L'Ancresse , the 6-year-old is a five-time winner and added the listed Her Majesty's Plate to his CV at Down Royal in July. The gelding was also second past the post in the 2019 Lexus Melbourne Cup (G1) before being demoted to fourth for interference.
Also among the wildcard lots are promising 2-year-olds Nero Tulip (Lot 364D), who will be consigned by Aguiar Bloodstock and has won his last two starts for Ger Lyons, and consistent Holy Roman Emperor gelding Bastogne (Lot 364B), who was fourth on his most recent start in the listed Prix Saraca at Chantilly for David Evans. He is out of a half sister to Salacia , the dam of Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored by QIPCO (G1) winner King of Change .
Other promising juveniles include Kevin Ryan's Lady Ayresome (Lot 740A), a two-time winning daughter of Kodi Bear , and Josies Kid (Lot 1186B), a son of Ardad who ran out an eye-catching winner of a York Nursery earlier this month for Alice Haynes.
Among the other wildcard entries are Fitzroy House Stables' Ace Rothstein (Lot 364C), a More Than Ready half brother to grade 3 winner Lord Simba who has won two of his six starts; Kingsfield Stud's Dandy Man gelding That's Just Dandy (Lot 740C), who broke his maiden at Dundalk; and the Michael Appleby-trained Swinton Noon (Lot 1273A), a winning son of Sepoy .
