Graded stakes winner Tamahere , a 4-year-old daughter of Wootton Bassett , is the latest supplement to the Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Cataloged as hip 273, she will be consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by ELiTE, agent.

Tamahere began her career in her native France, where she was stakes-placed at 2 and a stakes winner at 3, taking the Prix la Sorellina by 7 1/2 lengths. She was sent to the United States for her next start, easily winning her stateside debut in the Sands Point Stakes (G2T) at Belmont Park. This year at age 4 she won the Violet Stakes at Monmouth Park for owners Swift Thoroughbreds, Madaket Stables, and Wonder Stables. The Chad Brown trainee also finished second in the Coolmore Jenny Wiley Stakes (G1T), beaten two lengths by Juliet Foxtrot . Following a sixth-place finish in the Noble Damsel Stakes (G3T) Oct. 23 at Belmont Park, she has earnings of $306,466.

Tamahere is out of Alatasarai , a multiple stakes-producing Giant's Causeway mare. Tamahere is a half sister to two other winners, including French stakes winner Shadan . Her immediate family includes champion Easy Option  and Irish classic winner Classic Park .

"Tamahere is a very exciting supplemental entry," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. "Not only is she a graded stakes winner and grade 1-placed in the United States, but she's also a stakes winner in Europe. She's by one of the most exciting young sires in the world, beautifully bred, and just 4 years old."
