High Winds KO Aqueduct Racing

As an early winter storm continues to work its way up the Eastern Seaboard in advance of the Thanksgiving weekend holiday, sustained winds of 20-30 miles per hour and gusts of up to 40 mph have caused New York Racing Association officials to cancel the racing program at Aqueduct for Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The racing cards for Nov. 26 at Penn National Race Course and Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races were canceled. Read here
Live racing is expected to resume Thanksgiving Day at the Big A with a special first post of 11:25 a.m. with the traditional feature of the Fall Highweight Handicap (gr. III). Racing starts at noon Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-30.
