High Winds KO Aqueduct Racing Wednesday

As an early winter storm continues to work its way up the Eastern Seaboard in advance of the Thanksgiving weekend holiday, sustained winds of 20-30 miles per hour and gusts of up to 40 mph caused New York Racing Association officials to cancel the racing program at Aqueduct Racetrack for Nov. 27.

Live racing is expected to resume Thanksgiving Day at the Big A with a special first post of 11:25 a.m. and the traditional Fall Highweight Handicap (gr. III). Racing starts at noon Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-30.
