Moonshine Memories at The November Sale

Moonsine Memories, a dual grade 1-winning juvenile offered in foal to leading sire Into Mischief  , was bid up to $3.4 million before being signed for by West Bloodstock at The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's marquee breeding stock sale in Lexington Nov. 9.

The 6-year-old Malibu Moon   mare was consigned by Denali Stud, agent, as Hip 211. She is carrying her third foal after producing a yearling colt by Justify   and a weanling filly by Uncle Mo

Bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Farm, Moonshine Memories is out of the Unbridled's Song mare Unenchanted Evening. She is a half sister to stakes winner Indian Evening  and stakes-placed Mo for the Money . Her female family is that of Horse of the Year Favorite Trick and last year's Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1) and Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) winner Tiz the Law  .

In 2016, Bridlewood Farm and M.V. Magnier partnered to purchase Moonshine Memories for $650,000 from the Lane's End consignment to The Saratoga Sale, Fasig-Tipton's select yearling sale in New York. Sent to trainer Simon Callaghan, she won her first three starts at 2, including the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Chandelier (G1) stakes. She earned $549,056 from a 4-1-1 record in nine starts while racing in the names of Bridlewood Farm, Susan Magnier, Derrick Smith, and Michael Tabor.
