Ginobili will head to the Cigar Mile Handicap (G1) at Aqueduct Racetrack Dec. 4 for his next start, co-owner Slam Dunk Racing tweeted Nov. 20 after the 4-year-old gelding returned to the work tab for the first time since he ran second in the Big Ass Fans Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) at Del Mar Nov. 6.
The Richard Baltas trainee worked at San Luis Rey Training Center Saturday, going four furlongs on the dirt in :48 2/5.

Ginobili ran a big race to come from mid-pack and finish second best in the Dirt Mile 5 3/4 lengths behind winner Life Is Good .
The son of Munnings is owned in partnership by Slam Dunk Racing, Baltas, Jerry McClanahan, and Michael Nentwig. He heads into the Cigar Mile with earnings of $449,825 from 14 starts, from which has has a record of 3-2-1. This year he added a graded victory to his record in the Pat O'Brien Stakes (G2) in August. The previous year at 3, he was runner up in the San Vicente Stakes (G2).
Bred in Kentucky by Hinkle Farms, the bay was sourced by Baltas from Hinkle's consignment at the 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $35,000. Ginobili is out of the grade 3-placed Sharp Humor mare Find the Humor . His dam's first foal, Silly Factor , a 7-year-old daughter of The Factor , is black-type-placed.
