LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society is the happy recipient of Pink Lloyd 's racing bridle, to be used as a special online auction item to benefit the charity and help LongRun care for the 50-plus retirees it currently houses.

BLOODHORSE: Pink Lloyd Settles in at LongRun

Recently retired and now living at Long Run's 100-acre Hillsburgh farm, Entourage Stable's Pink Lloyd was a fan favorite throughout his career, winning 29 of his 38 starts and in excess of CA$2.4 million. The 9-year-old son of Old Forester , voted 2017 Canadian Horse of the Year and a winner of six other Sovereign awards, went out with a flourish with a thrilling and determined win the CA$175,000 Kennedy Road Stakes (G2) at Woodbine Nov. 27.

Generously donated by trainer Bob Tiller, Pink Lloyd exclusively wore the bridle in all of his stakes wins. The online auction starts Dec. 12 at 12:01 p.m. ET and ends Dec. 16 at 11 p.m. Bidding information will eventually be posted online.
