Keeneland Next Stop on Jockey Club Tour

The Jockey Club Tour on FOX Sports 1 makes its next stop at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington Saturday, April 11, with the $300,000 Jenny Wiley (gr. IT) and $250,000 Coolmore Lexington (gr. III).



The telecast will air from 4:30-5:30 p.m. EDT on FOX Sports 1 and will be streamed live on FOX Sports Go. The on-air duties will be handled by Greg Wolf, retired jockey Richard Migliore, Andy Serling, Simon Bray, and Alyssa Ali. As part of a joint promotional arrangement with Autism Speaks, the on-air talent will wear Autism Speaks lapel pins.



The Jenny Wiley will feature fillies and mares 4 years old and up going 1 1/16 miles on the turf. The Coolmore Lexington, at 1 1/16 miles on the dirt, is expected to showcase Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) hopefuls Divining Rod and Tiznow R J. It is one of the last Derby prep races, with Kentucky Derby points of 10, 4, 2, and 1 for first thorugh fourth, respectively.



The telecast will include features on Keeneland and the Lexington area, Coolmore Stud, and Walker Hancock, the president of Claiborne Farm. Tom Durkin, the former longtime race caller for the New York Racing Association Inc., Breeders' Cup, and Triple Crown races, will contribute a video essay focusing on the foals, sales, and racing that make Keeneland such a unique institution.

The America's Best Racing handicapping challenge will benefit Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, the nation's leading source of private funding for equine medical research that benefits all breeds of horses.
