Santa Anita Park is issuing the following clarification Jan. 22 regarding the track surface for fifth race Jan. 23.
Although Sunday's racing overnight correctly notes Sunday's fifth race will, in fact, be run at six furlongs on turf, a technological error has resulted in the race mistakenly listed as being run on the main track in both the print edition of Daily Racing Form and the official Santa Anita track program.
Please note that Santa Anita's online Sunday racing program has been corrected and DRF's Sunday online past performances for Race five has been corrected as well.
Santa Anita regrets the error and would again like to make clear, that Sunday's fifth race will be run at six furlongs on turf, with the inner rail set at 20 feet.
