Bred by Maury Shields, the colt is the mare's first foal and hails from the family of graded stakes winner Love's Exchange . American Values' dam, Curlin N Twirlin (by Curlin ), is a half sister to multiple graded stakes-placed winner Wacky for Love and stakes-placed Missgallopinggulch .
Bred by the late Joseph "Jerry" V. Shields, Country House earned more than $2.1 million while being campaigned by Maury Shields, nephew Guinness McFadden of Blackwood Stables, and LNJ Foxwoods.
