Tiz the Law's First Reported Foal a Colt

The first reported foal by classic winner Tiz the Law  , a colt out of stakes producer Celebrity Cat  (Storm Cat), arrived Jan. 28 at Ashford Stud, Coolmore America's Adrian Wallace reported to TVG Jan. 29 at Gulfstream Park.

Celebrity Cat is already the dam of Uncle Benny  (Declaration of War ), winner of the 2018 Futurity Stakes and 2019 Allied Forces Stakes, both at Belmont Park. Uncle Benny was also second in the 2018 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T) at Churchill Downs

A $1.2 million Keeneland September Yearling Sale purchase, the unraced Celebrity Cat is out of the multiple grade 1 winner and millionaire Dynaformer  mare Starrer . This is also the female family of grade 1 winners Stellar Jayne  and Star Billing . At public auction, Celebrity Cat was most recently a $92,000 purchase by Murray Enterprise from the Eaton Sales consignment at the 2020 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. 

Tiz the Law, a 5-year-old son of Constitution  , captured the Champagne Stakes (G1) at 2 and reeled off top-level victories at 3 in 2019 in the Curlin Florida Derby (G1), Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1), and Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) while later finishing second in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), postponed until September that year due to COVID-19. Trained by Barclay Tagg for Sackatoga Stable, the New York-bred earned $2,735,300.

He stands at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., for an advertised fee of $35,000 in 2022.
