Turfway Cancels Feb. 3 Card With Snow, Ice in Forecast

Turfway Park has canceled its Feb. 3 race card with snow and ice in the upcoming forecast for Northern Kentucky, the track posted on social media Feb. 2.
"Due to the impending snow and ice forecasted for the Northern Kentucky area, racing has been canceled for Thursday, February 3rd," a Tweet from the track said Wednesday.
"A decision will be forthcoming for the remainder of the weekend's race card," it added.
The track is currently scheduled to run the $100,000 Forego Stakes Saturday, Feb. 5 on its Tapeta track. The race is a 6 1/2-furlong sprint for older horses.
Turfway also canceled racing Sunday, Jan. 30, out of an "abundance of caution due to the track conditions after the overnight freeze," the track said on social media.
Due to the impending snow and ice forecasted for the Northern Kentucky area, racing has been canceled for Thursday, February 3rd.
