"I don't think there will ever be another like (Enable)," Juddmonte's U.K. manager Simon Mockridge told BloodHorse Nov. 22. "But we hope that she will pass on her traits, her strength, her will to win, her extraordinary mind, and her athleticism. And then there are the traits of Kingman. This foal will have every opportunity."
SNIERSON: Enable Settles Into Motherhood
Enable, a two-time winner of Europe's most prestigious race, the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1), retired with a record of 15-2-1 from 19 starts and more than $14 million in earnings. In 2018, she invaded American soil to become the first horse in history to capture the Arc and the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf (G1T) in the same year.
Raced in the colors of the late H.H. Prince Khalid bin Abdullah, Enable was a homebred for Juddmonte Farms. The racing industry suffered a tragic loss Jan. 12, 2021, when the Juddmonte founder died at the age of 85.
"It's been a sad year for us," said Mockridge. "Now there is a lot to look forward to. It's always exciting to look forward to new life."
