Champion Midnight Bisou  has settled into motherhood with the same class she showed on the racetrack, as her Feb. 12 colt by leading sire Curlin   continues to develop. The daughter of Midnight Lute will be bred back to Tapit   for 2023.

Midnight Bisou was an Eclipse Award winner in 2019 and accomplished multiple grade 1 victories, including the 2018 Santa Anita Oaks (G1) and Cotillion Stakes (G1) and the 2019 Apple Blossom Handicap (G1), Ogden Phipps Stakes (G1), and Personal Ensign Stakes Presented by Lia Infiniti (G1) while racing for Bloom Racing Stable, Madaket Stables, and Allen Racing. Chuck Allen of Allen Racing went to $5 million to buy out the partnership in 2020 at The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's marquee breeding stock sale.

Hill 'n' Dale farm manager Peter Conway said the mare and foal are both doing well.

"She's (been) a great mom from the very beginning; her maternal instinct was there straight away," Conway said. "It was a real easy foaling and both are happy and healthy at the minute. It's great to have a racemare like Midnight Bisou on the farm, and we thank her owners for entrusting us with her for a season.

"Midnight Bisou was a fantastic racehorse (with) 22 starts, 13 graded stakes, five grade 1 wins, and earnings of over $7.4 million on the racetrack," Conway added. "We couldn't be happier that she's here with us now."
