Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline (G1) favorite Life Is Good holds the lead in this year's fourth National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Top Thoroughbred Poll released March 22, well ahead of Letruska and Express Train .
China Horse Club and WinStar Farm's Life Is Good, winner of the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes Presented by 1/ST BET (G1) earlier this year, received 31 first-place votes, while Letruska, Express Train, and Flightline received one apiece. The latter is ranked sixth.
Besides Life Is Good, four others ranked in the top ten will see action Saturday in Dubai. Hot Rod Charlie (fourth), Midnight Bourbon (ninth), and Country Grammer (10th) also start in the Dubai World Cup, while Colonel Liam (fifth) goes in the $5 million Dubai Turf Sponsored by DP World (G1T).
Other ranked horses in the NTRA poll include Mandaloun (seventh) and Ce Ce (eighth).
Speaker's Corner leads horses receiving votes that fall outside the top 10. He trailed Country Grammer on points 66-65.
Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby (G2) favorite Epicenter leads the NTRA 3-year-old poll over Forbidden Kingdom and Classic Causeway . The poll tracks horses competing up and through the Triple Crown.
National media participates in both polls, basing their votes on racing performances through March 20. The Top Thoroughbred poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year.
