War Front Filly Storms Day 2 at OBS Under Tack Show

The War Front filly consigned as Hip 276 was the fastest quarter-mile clocked in :20 1/5 during Day 2 of the OBS Spring Sale under tack show

The second day of the under tack show got underway April 11 at The Ocala Breeders' Sales Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, a filly by War Front   breezed the fastest quarter-mile in : 20 1/5. A quick eighth-mile was set in :9 3/5 by a daughter of Street Boss  , followed by eight others who went in :9 4/5 on Day 2.



The War Front filly consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, as Hip 276, sped a quarter in :20 1/5 to post the fastest work at the distance for the second session of the under tack show for the OBS Spring Sale. The dark bay or brown filly is out of the Candy Ride   mare, Cinnamon Spice, a half sister to CashCall Futurity (G1) winner and prolific sire Violence  , from the family of champion older mare Sky Beauty .

Hip 346, the filly by Darley's Street Boss consigned by Grassroots Training and Sales, agent, turned in the session's fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 3/5. The chestnut filly is out of Dazzle, by Twirling Candy  , a full sister to graded stakes placed Exaulted .

  • Hip 206, consigned by Top Line Sales, agent, is a bay colt by champion 2-year-old colt and Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) winner Uncle Mo   out of Borealis Night, by Astrology , from the family of stakes winner and third in the Vinery Madison Stakes (G2) Ever Elusive .

  • Hip 260, the dark bay or brown colt by freshman sire Army Mule   consigned by Ocala Stud, agent, breezed a quarter-mile in :20 4/5 Monday. He is out of the Curlin mare Charismata , third runner up in the Barbara Shinpoch Stakes. 

  • Hip 329, a bay filly by Calumet's grade 1 winner, Ransom the Moon   consigned by Coastal Equine, agent, she is a half sister to graded stakes winner Bourbonic  out of Delaware Oaks (G2) winner Dancing Afleet , by Afleet Alex . The fast filly breezed a quarter-mile, stopping the clock in :20 4/5.

The Under Tack Show continues April 12 starting 8:00 a.m. ET with Hips 353 - 528 scheduled to breeze and continues until April 16. The show will be streamed live via the OBS website at obssales.com, and also via the Blood-Horse, DRF, TDN, and Past The Wire websites.

Under Tack results and videos are posted on the OBS website at obssales.com and can be viewed on kiosks in the breezeway and in the Video Room adjacent to the Horsemen's Lounge. In-room viewing is available at The Courtyard by Marriott, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, and the Ocala Hilton, plus lounge viewing is available at the Hilton.

The sale begins April 19-22 at 10:30 a.m. ET each day.
