Change of Control wins the 2021 Autumn Days Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack

Change of Control  will bid against multiple group 1 winner Campanelle  April 16 in pursuit of a feat never seen before, a second win in the $200,000 Giant's Causeway Stakes at Keeneland. 

The Wesley Ward-trained Campanelle will make her season debut Saturday, with her last time out a third in the 2021 Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes (G3T), which Change of Control won by 1 1/2 lengths. Ambassador Luna , also in Saturday's 14-horse field, was second.

Owned by Stonestreet Stables, Campanelle boasts an impressive record, including international wins in the Commonwealth Cup (G1) at Royal Ascot and the Darley Prix Morny (G1) at Deauville. The 4-year-old filly by Kodiac  will leave post 3 with Irad Ortiz Jr. on board and is eyeing a return trip to England.

Should Change of Control return to victory at Keeneland, she will become the first two-time winner of the Giant's Causeway. The 6-year-old mare owned by Perry Harrison and trained by Michelle Lovell went on to win the Autumn Days Stakes Nov. 28 at Aqueduct Racetrack and was runner-up Jan. 29 in the Frederick P. Aime Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots before a third in the Mardi Gras Stakes there March 1. The daughter of Fed Biz   will leave the starting gate with Colby Hernandez from post 5.
