Shared Belief will undergo a nuclear scan April 19, said Dan Ward, assistant to trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.
The test comes after the champion gelding was pulled up by jockey Mike Smith during the Charles Town Classic (gr. II) April 18. It was the son of Candy Ride 's first start outside of California.

"He's going for a scan at a facility near the track and see if they can find anything," Ward said Sunday morning. "We don't think it's serious."
After the Charles Town Classic, Dr. Elizabeth Daniel, West Virginia's state veterinarian at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, said she noticed "a little soft tissue swelling in Shared Belief's right stifle."
