Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) winner Texas Red could get back to training in May, trainer Keith Desormeaux said April 19.
Still on the path of recovery from an abscess in his front right foot, the Afleet Alex colt was ruled out of a run for the Triple Crown in March.

"He's doing great," Desormeaux said. "We did an ultrasound about two weeks ago last Saturday and he got a clean bill of health. They told me to go easy on him a couple more weeks, which brings us to May 1, and then I'll start cranking up."
